Distance Learning churns out a much better “Package”
There has been an on-going debate about which form of learning is more efficient and productive-traditional or distance learning. Although the debate concluded nothing definite, it did create an interesting profile of an adult who pursues distance education and following are a few excerpts from it:- By definition, the pursuer is an adult and mature
- The student is engaged in the process of growth and believes in value learning
- The student usually brings along some valuable experience with him/her
- They are motivated and have precise direction regarding their professional future
- They are in touch with reality and have mature expectations with their education
- They usually have more than one commitment, which indicates that competing interests might keep them disciplined and oriented
- They possess or develop learning patterns and strategies for attainment of ambitions and goals
